Developed by working closely with craftsmen in traditional pottery villages of Japan, it is a fresh interpretation of Japanese tableware for the modern lifestyle. Knowledge and skills were inherited to develop the product —from the proportion of clay and glaze, to the sensitive transformations while firing that depend on temperature and humidity. CERAMIC LAB balances delicacy, durability and the rustic charm of sandstone to form modern interpretation of traditional Japanese tableware. CERAMIC LAB uses a special local sandstone from where it’s made, Hasami, a village with a long tradition of pottery craftsmanship. Hasami is in the Nagasaki Prefecture, on the west coast of Japan’s Kyushu Island. This cup is perfect for a morning cappuccino or an evening green tea.
